But for a long time, I found myself frustrated when trying to source decor items in South Africa that reflected the styles I loved overseas. And when I did find something similar locally, the prices were often out of reach.

That frustration sparked the beginning of Tulum.

Instead of settling, I began searching closer to home - connecting with local artisans and skilled craftsmen who shared my appreciation for quality and thoughtful design. Together, we started creating pieces that felt timeless, functional, and beautiful, without the inflated price tag.
